VACCINATION SCHEDULE Below is the vaccination schedule we use for our animals here at Hawks Mountain Ranch. You will want to consult with your veterinarian as to what works best for you.

*NOTE: If you show your goats or take your animals off your farm, your veterinarian may recommend you CDT vaccinate your animals every 6 months.
VACCINATION DESCRIPTIONS:
CDT = Clostridium Types C & D with Tetanus. We use CDT Covexin 8. BOSE = Selenium and Vitamin E TETANUS ANTITOXIN = Quick acting tetanus vaccine used at time of disbudding and castration NOTE: ALL THESE SHOTS CAN BE GIVEN SUB-Q (under the skin) ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK is the reaction which can occur when injections are given - Have Epinephrine solution on hand at all times.. Give Epinephrine IM (inter-muscular) Kids = 1/4cc Adult = 1/2 cc *Feed free choice selenium salt (with minerals) year round if the soil/feed in your area is deficient in selenium.
